Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by George I — 12 Mar 2011
Ok so I sat down one day after hearing all about this movie from a friend and I was like its not possible that the movies is as hard to watch as everyone claims. considering most people tend to exaggerate everything all the time.
so I said I got a pretty strong stomach so wtf lets take a shot here. I have to say the direction and camera work was extremely done with 100percent precision. It was directed with the form of an artist.
The actors were excellently picked and they delivered. the direction was there and the acting was there. as far as the actual extreme scenes there were moments where I was having a hard time believing what I saw! the controversy was there so much so that it made cannibal holocaust seem like a disney special.
this movie was shocking, disturbing, grotesque, repugnant, horrorific, traumatic, it was the hardest film ive ever had to sit through. but because it is uniquely sickening and yet and I cant help but say it was great but I may never watch it again.
if you seek shock value level extreme disturbingness this is it along with good acting and excellent direction.
