The idea is overzealous in it's tone to make it's point across. The direct response to have for a film like this is to decide to have one. It's a bit difficult to see any other reason why to suspect that a film's agenda is more based on sucker punching it's own government for the atrocities of it's past and present.

Take 'Taxidermia' for example. A film showing the state of where Hungary has become while using a series of convoluted dissections to make a point. What's shocking though by all that was involved in A Serbian Film was to simply make an exploitation flick. Nothing more. It's agenda toward splicing sexual imagery and pedophilia to summarize a message is poor craftmanship. Pornography, as some will know, is out of hand. As Spasojevic has said "This is a diary of our own molestation by the Serbian government... It's about the monolithic power of leaders who hypnotize you to do things you don't want to do. You have to feel the violence to know what it's about." Feeling the violence doesn't make you think. Because a feeling is just that. Now what's behind that feeling is a different matter and what is behind it in this film is an agenda to be 'SHOCKING', to be 'SICK', to be 'CONTROVERSIAL'! OH MY GOD!

This film fits in with the perfect tradition of trashy exploitation. The New Born porn scene is the same equivalent as the impalement scene in Cannibal Holocaust, the gay rape scene in Mysterious Skin and the severed penis scene from In the Realm of the Senses. It's just not that shocking or even shocking at all to know that stuff like "Newborn Porn" even exists. I bet it does, but what does that have to do with it other than to be SHOCKING! (oh right. it was a metaphor for molestation from the government) Give me a fucking break. I've seen worse molestation in an Oliver Stone flix. Try JFK. XD.

Overall, the sickest thing I've ever seen was the internet. THERE'S JUST SO MUCH STUFF!!!! :D.
