Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Scott B — 22 Nov 2011

I hate the excuse generally given to graphic films that their purpose/goal is just to shock the audience, or make them feel something, thats fine and all but there still has to be a story with suspense involved and characters we care about, which is not the case here, the first half starts off as a standard mystery/thriller, but then all story/suspense is thrown out and it becomes essentially just mindless torture porn, and goddamn this is some of the most intense stuff I have ever seen in my life, I guess on a technical level it looks good, but it needed more than that.
