Review of A Separation (2011) by Tex B — 06 Mar 2012
I went to see this film with high expectations as it got 5 stars from both David & Margaret (At The Movies) and I wasn't disappointed. A brilliant film, multilayered story with complex characters that kept me completely emotionally involved the whole way through.
Foreign film makers tell a story in a different way to British & American makers. Even the "different" art house ones still follow a particular style or format which foreign movies don't adhere too and so take you on a different and arguably more interesting journey.
5 stars from me.
