Review of A Separation (2011) by Paul K — 20 Mar 2012
Great movie, it is so real that sometimes you can feel you are witnessing all that is happening through your window. It shows how perspectives, moral and religious values can be so different to what we know or to what we think we know.
The inconclusive and ambiguous end boldly shows that the dimension and meaning of the actual separation was up to the viewer since the beginning of the movie. Multiple messages, questions and unresolved issues presented in different dimensions, sometimes very locally and sometimes very universally if the viewer dares and chooses to watch it and appreciate it beyond the appearances.
