Review of A Separation (2011) by Richard B — 28 Aug 2012
So I do enjoy foreign language films, especially if they really good like this one and I hadn't seen one in a while. This was the first film I've seen from Iran and it was very good. The story starts simple but gets more complex and deep as it goes on as characters get stuck to their stories.
The acting by all actors is top notch. The subtitles didn't distract me much except when characters argued because they went by so fast. Overall, not a film for everyone, but a film I enjoyed and it definitely deserved the Oscar for best foreign film.
