Review of A Separation (2011) by Jeanette R — 21 Sep 2012
A Separation is one of the best foreign films I've bumped on in recent years. This Iranian gem manages to compel even the most morally ambiguous person. A family drama that is believable, has precise acting even from the children, and is familiar to anyone no matter what religious/moral beliefs one has.
You can't help but be absorbed into the depths and complexity of this film. This is real movie making here. No bullshit.
