Review of A Separation (2011) by Gordon C — 25 Sep 2012
This is what filmmakers should aspire to. A film, devoid of glitz and over-embellished plot turns, that can seize you by the throat, keep you guessing, inform you, challenge your ideas, make you see the world through a different pair of eyes.
Good, solid pacing in the beginning, but you feel a storm a'brewin. The last 30 minutes are just unbelievably gripping, turns all along the way. But something real about it. FANTASTIC this winner of Best Foreign Pic 2011.
