Review of A Separation (2011) by Dave L — 09 Nov 2012
The frentic pacing and explosive acting make this Iranian film feel like a thriller. A couple is on the verge of divorce in Iran. They then stumble across an extremely complicated but everyday situation with a hired houseworker.
Misunderstandings and the law vs the spirit of the law debates ensue. There are many thrilling moments and an extremely talented cast guide this project through. Highly recommended.
