Review of A Separation (2011) by Whiskey P — 13 Mar 2012
A wonderful film. The camerawork was a bit annoying at times, but it didn't distract from the overall value of the film too much. I went to see this film mostly because it's a modern Iranian film, something I've never experienced.
And, boy, does it deliver. Great acting by every performer. The pace gets a bit dragged, but I can't recall a single unnecessary scene. This film was an education for me about Iranian culture, religion, and everyday living.
Well done.
