Review of A Separation (2011) by Edilchristian — 14 Jan 2019
MASTERPIECE. One of the best movies of this century along with In the Mood For Love and Boyhood. Asghar Farhadi hits the epitome of direction with this masterly crafted drama that deceives like a thriller.
So meticulously is it carried out and so emotional are its performances that by the time it reveals the suspense you are shocked and awed in the brilliance of this arthouse yet universal drama film standing against the best films of all time.
Such is the radiance. The humane things: minor glances, smirks, sadness, desperation all is bare in front of you, resonating for years.
