Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Michael R — 18 Jun 2010
This one was a very low key and original work that I have grown to appreciate. Perhaps I am biased because I love the author, who wrote the novel on which this is based, but I found it to be humourous and at times painful to see a world of such paranoia and lonliness.
It was very stylishly directed by Richard Linklater, who combines live-action wih animation to give a unique look to the entire film.
