Maybe it is just the cartoonish animation that won me over, but I love this story. Having Harrelson and Downey Jr. together is always terrific. I really think Linklater got everything he could out of this film.
The animation was a brilliant choice. Nowhere does it say this is a comedy but I had a smile on my face a lot more often than I thought I would.
