Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Rainer K — 14 Aug 2011
Philip K. Dick's novels are obviously some good stuff to make films. After cult classic Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly is another weird but great, visually impressive film.
I really loved the rotoscoped look of it, arguably the best about the whole film. But there are also some decent performances by Keanu Reeves and a brilliant Robert Downey jr who steals the show.
The plot about this future drug is just fine and faithfully adapted and has some surprising twists and an ending that provokes some pondering.
