Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Frederick V — 04 Jul 2012
Obscure, eccentric and stunningly perfect. A daring visualization of Phillip K Rick's work. The entire cast delivers a semjnal performance that shows through strong even through the animation overlay effect.
The visual direction taken is beautiful in how it so subtly acknowledges the sobriety of each character, truly conveying the world they perceive. A perfect blend between 1984 and Fear and Loathing, this uniquely twisted film is a must for any fans of the cerebral.
