Review of A Scanner Darkly (2006) by Chestert. — 24 Dec 2006
A Scanner Darkly is a dark, autobiography about drugs and government surveillance and a new, devastating drug called Substance D. It is a witty, amazingly told story that makes you think. It is so incredibly intelligent, and because of its unique blend of great dialogue, storytelling, and animation, this movie is one of the best of the year.
It contains a lot of smart, clever, and funny dialogue. I must say all the actors where unbelievably good in their roles because they wer e being their crazy selves. You should really go see it.....and then go see it again.
If you passively watch it though, you may miss out on some, most, or all of the details of the story. This movie is not for dumb people.
