Review of A Royal Affair (2012) by James G — 24 Jun 2012
First The Killing, then Borgen and now A Royal Affair; denmark's cultural imperialism strides forth with a beautifully portrayed snapshot of palace life from 1766. Superb attention to period detail made for a highly enjoyable history lesson.
Genteel in pace, but never boring, the story of enlightenment and endarkenment (?) unfold. .
