While it definitely takes a bit to get going, Golden Globe-nominee A Royal Affair is a really well-acted, shot, and scripted film that follows a scandal that rocks the Danish monarchy in the 18th Century.
This was the rare historical film not only taught me something, but also entertained me as well.
