Not your typical soap opera melodrama. The film possess a compelling story, that doesn't really focus on the affair itself, which seems to naturally come about. The film carries so many complex emotions, and they're all played out so well by the actors.
Showing that the love between two people can be a powerful thing. Even between the same sex in a platonic way. A very interesting story about one man trying to enlighten and free the people under ancient law and the power influence of religion, while not only capturing the heart of the queen but it's misunderstood king as well.
