Review of A Royal Affair (2012) by Jessica T — 06 Jun 2013
Tale of heroism, betrayal and honour in 18th century Denmark as revolutionary fervour spreads through Europe. Distinctively portrayed by Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, King Christian VI is a deeply tragic character, at times lashing out with vindictive cruelty, but mostly a helpless, neglected child subject to manipulation.
