One of the best period dramas made since the 90's! Its Historically and politically correct and smartly written , its just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!! Based on true story about love triangle between the insane Danish King Christian VII, the royal physician who is a man of enlightenment and idealism Struensee and the young but strong Queen Caroline Mathilda.
A Royal Affair is a beautiful film about 2 people that risk everything to pursuit freedom to their people! Mads Mikkelsen, Alicia Vikander, and Mikkel Boe Folsgaard terrific and the costumes gorgeous! I cried a little in the end and simply loved the entire film! Highly recommend for period drama lovers.
