Hadn't seen this for ages. Charming, brilliantly directed and great acting from Day Lewis, Maggie Smith and Judi Dench... plus that fantastic Puccini soundtrack and Tuscany. Only let down by the appalling acting of Helena Bonham Carter and Julian Sands.
Helena was only 18 at the time and hadn't learned to act yet... and Julian never did.
