This is the so very rare case where the movie is solidly better than the book (and a good book from Forster at that!). Bonham-Carter inhabits Lucy Honeychurch like Keira Knightley inhabits Elizabeth Bennet.
And what a supporting cast! Maggie Smith, Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Julian Sands...just delightful.
