Review of A River Runs Through It (1992) by Anssi V — 10 Oct 2011
A poetic movie about finer things in life and how we seek perfection each through our own ways. It was enjoyable to watch, and that's pretty much all that I have to say about it. The actors were good - well, Brad Pitt was Brad Pitt, but that goes without saying - the music was nice and the story held up quite well.
So it's an extremely average movie, which isn't bad, but it isn't great either. The only thing in this movie that was worth note was its cinematography, which it won an Oscar for, admittedly - the scenery is beautiful, to but it simply.
And really, there's no reason why someone shouldn't see this movie. It has its value and it's pretty much for everyone equally. I just don't believe that someone should go out of their way to look this one up.
