Pretty standard horror fare. Great intro. Decent cast and great production value. The greatly increased budget helps sell the scale of events and monster effects more but sadly it never really innovates (always hard in such an over saturated genre).
Coupled with its weak screenplay and dominant soundtrack that takes away any tension and it just drops into feeling like an average movie at best.
