Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Shahrazie A — 20 Apr 2018
Intense, nerve-wracking and genuinely scary, "A Quiet Place" is one of the best horror films in recent memory. Although horror movies are not my cup of tea, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Unlike other films in the genre, it works tremendously due to a strong script and terrific performances from the cast.
As a first-time director, John Krasinski does a splendid job behind the camera. There are moments of genuine tension, suspense and even heartfelt emotion. Despite a slightly ambiguous ending, the film leaves the viewer enthralled.
Whether you are a fan of horror or not, this is an intense movie-going experience that you won't want to miss.
