Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Ayrton C — 22 Apr 2018
I do not understand the great reviews for this movie. I am a fan of science fiction and suspenseful ghost/horror stories, and I was really looking forward to this, but the "willing suspension of disbelief" was just too much with this film.
This was a sad mash-up of M. Night Shyamalan's Signs and Tim Burton's Mars Attacks - with an unoriginal dose of Stranger Things thrown in. The acting was fine, and the direction was solid, but the plot holes were wretched.
My husband and daughter felt the same way - not worth the price of admission.
