Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Frances W — 23 Apr 2018
A deceptively simple premise is given more heart and scares than I've seen in horror since--well, ever. Admittedly, I'm not a student of horror, but neither is Krasinski, which is perhaps what makes this film so singular.
The dread that builds as you watch is as unbearable as it is artistic. Performances are all incredibly top-notch, and lend a three dimensional experience to a usually one-dimensional genre.
