Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Debiedoo — 06 Apr 2018
It's best to go into this movie knowing as little as possible. John Krasinski (The Office) directed and stars with his real wife Emily Blunt as a married couple with kids. They have to live a near quiet existence because making ANY noise can be a matter of life and death.
A Quiet Place is a taught drama/thriller that uses virtual silence to slowly build tension. With the artful and clever concept of little to no dialogue, the film keeps the audience engaged and too scared to make a sound themselves (you don't even wan to munch on your popcorn) Yes, as with many thrillers, there are a few plot holes, but the plot is unique, the acting is good and suspense is palpable.
Parents: No bad language or sexual situations, but several emotional and intense scenes.
