Review of A Quiet Place (2018) by Jnotr — 13 Apr 2018
Suspense in its pure state. I met several people who came out disappointed thinking that this would be a horror movie in the style of The Conjuring so I notice that it is a suspense movie without jumpscares or ghosts but if scenes that are putting the tension and make you hair stand on end.
The first half hour of movie starts quiet, but then not for a second. The effects of sounds are incredible, just like the soundtrack. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are amazing. The only thing that I do not like are a couple of plot holes (I do not name them because they do not spoil) and that many things are repeated.
