What a fantastic film! Great idea, wonderful acting (Emily Blunt gives an especially outstanding, sympathetic performance), and a terrific monster. Yes, the monster looks a bit like Alien, but with some unique awfulness all its own.
Great atmosphere, plot, and pacing. The last 30 minutes are especially harrowing. I was totally engrossed in the film. Yes, it is a bit like the Cloverfield films, but much better overall. Yes, it is a bit like “It Comes at Night,” but it will still knock your socks off since it goes far beyond all these films in originality and horror.
