Excellent, old-fashioned entertainment, this smartly paced and plotted monster pic pits Krasinski the actor up against Krasinski the director and he pleasingly brings about a respectable peace between the two.
Effectively scary and taut with its running time, it may well be the biggest surprise of 2018. Blunt's final scene is a wonderful homage to the heroines of action films past.
