Review of A Quiet Place (2016) by Trevor D — 29 Apr 2018
A Quet Place. where do I begin?
Let me start by saying im a huge movie nerd and I love movies. And I dont think I have seen a more perfect movie! this movie really makes you open your eyes. it makes you realize and think what others around the world have to go through to stay alive. not in the exact way that the movie shows but it makes you think how others survive. the acting in this movie was absolutely incredible. I was cringing and on the edge of my seat the entire movie. when I heard about the plot about monsters, I thought "oh great here's gonna be some really crappy cgi" but it actually was not bad at all! this was such an amazing movie.
There were a few hiccups I noticed tho. one is the story is about the world being taken over my monsters. but in the movie, there is no exclamation for how the monsters came to be or what happened or anything. it just starts at day 89 with no reaon explained why the monsters are here. which leads me to my second hiccup. the movie starts on day 89. I won't give out any spoilers but the very next scene it goes to day 473. we didn't get to see what happens to the family for a full year. and finally, the daughter in the movie who is deaf in the movie and in real life, who by the way did such an amazing jon! and shes only 15. but a few things I noticed was when there were noises and such and the fanily reacted, she reacted at the same time. There was no reason to react because she couldn't hear what was happening. If she reacted to her family reacting, thats one thing but I noticed a few times she reacted as soon as the noises happened. so those are a few hiccups but other than that, I recommend this movie to everyone! you will 100% for sure enjoy this movie!
