Review of A Quiet Place (2016) by Sean W — 25 Aug 2018
It was stupid. That's all it was. (Spoilers) I mean, when Emily Blunt's character is trying to give birth silently it's like What? People are saying: They used a deaf girl to play a deaf girl! and they're acting like that makes it better.
The CGI sometimes looks good and other times it looks horrible. John Krasinski was good in it. And the sister, at the beginning, when she gives her youngest brother the space ship toy, why wouldn't she take the batteries with her so just make sure the brother didn't do anything stupid.
They're so many problems like: Why didn't they build a small house by the lake so they could talk. Also, wouldn't they question the fact about why the monsters weren't attracted to the lake when it made noise? why didn't they build something that makes high pitched sound? Also, how come they could kill the monsters with a gun, a shot to the head.
Wouldn't the army have at least tried guns when these things came from... wherever they came from. Speaking of which, the monsters aren't explained very well, or given a back story or... anything, really.
