Review of A Quiet Passion (2016) by Jan F — 05 May 2017
Ponderous and directionless. We get no insight into what inspired Dickenson to write, only disjointed scenes of her at home, often unhappy. The dialog has women sharing flat witticisms that come across like a Monty Python routine in which the characters think that they're urbane, but we see them as pompous unfunny farts.
