The movie showed us a few "high" points in Colvin's career and two of her relationships in short vignettes. Not enough time was spent letting us know the woman or developing the short vignettes so we would feel for the victims of violence. The style made Colvin seem like a two dimensional character.

There was also three sex scenes and one full frontal nude scene, all of which added nothing to the movie or understanding of the character without more context. There's one friend who starts to have a meaningful conversation but it's cut off quickly.
