I'm pretty sure the theme of the movie was making peace with old things/letting things go. However, all the while watching it I was wondering if I had enough shoe laces to hang myself from the ceiling fan with.
It's sad that an all star cast with Kevin Kline, Tommy Lee Jones, and Mryl Streep can slip into a movie like A Prairie Home Companion. This movie tried to over exert 'quirk' to supplement the extreme lack of plot and direction.
