Review of A Prairie Home Companion (2006) by Keira R — 25 Feb 2009
I'm gonna get heat for this, but I enjoyed this movie. I found it heart warming. Like the angel character, I grew up listening to A Prairie Home Companion on long car rides. Garrison Keillor would keep me company as I played pokemon yellow on long trips to Albany.
Guy Noir would ramble on about his detective work while I hot wired a 96 Impala ss and cruised Santa Monica looking for cheap night walkers. Ah, If only I could be 10 again. I remember and love these characters.
Also there is some nifty cinematography that my semester in film 101 helped me notice. Check out how the angel's head is framed by a lamp. Boo ya.
