Review of A Prairie Home Companion (2006) by Jerard W — 22 Mar 2009
This is a movie in which too many cooks can spoil the broth and the case with Prairie Home Companion which is a perfect set-up for Altman's directing style there are too many actors trying to out perform each other rather than compliment each other in sticking to mood, style and nature of the show.
If this was done with lesser known talent (no Meryl Streep) and take advantage of the local scenes of where ever they are performing this could have been Altman's second "Nashville".
