Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by Ricardo O — 11 Apr 2010
One of my favorite American Films of all time. I take a lot of notes on Montgomery Clifts acting and body language. He's cunning, dishonest and immoral when he's with Shelly Winters, he's quiet, reserved and a brute when he's by himself, and he's passionate, charming and lights up the room when he's with Elizabeth Taylor.
Taylor and Clift have such a strong romantic chemistry on screen that it never seems to get dull at any moment of the film.
