While admitting at the very beginning that American's don't do documentaries, Scorsese provides a great resource for those wishing to go beyond the normal "classics" and gain a deeper understanding of the American movie.
Simplicity itself in structure and visuals (talking heads and clips) Martin lets the films he loves do the talking, providing phenomenal insight into even the shortest of glipses - Now, I know why I loved Barry Lyndon so much.
