Review of A Perfect World (1993) by Eric T — 28 Jun 2008
Mostly forgotten film, all the more surprising as it came out during the height of Costner's popularity. Not really a chance film, it's more of a character study (a la Eastwood's 1970s efforts a la Thunderbolt and Lightfoot).
Note perfect evocation of 1960s Texas, and a wonderful scrappiness to Costner's performance. Vastly underrated film.
