Review of A Perfect World (1993) by Allison W — 31 May 2008
Criminally overlooked, and the film that brought an end to costners box office gold in the early 90s.
Clint eastwood, directs and co stars, as a texas ranger, in 60s texas, who has to hunt down fujitive kevin costner fresh out of jail, and on route kidnapps a young boy played by t.j lowther. as they go threough texas, tipically a bond developes, and the kid learns a new lease of life as him being a jehova religion, he gets to do all the stuff his parents wouldent normally allow, but with eastwood, on his tail, he knows time is short. love this film, and a great role for costner, he was in the top of his game from late 80s to early 90s, and this deserves to be seen more, eastwood as ever, showing a great nack for acting, directing, a nice leisurly paced film, which does take its time, but all the better for it, agreat road movie up there with sugerland express, which has many similerities, great looking texas landscape as well, a great chase movie.
