Review of A Perfect World (1993) by Rajneel S — 23 Jun 2008
Dark, gripping and superb, low-level drama about a boy who forms a fatherly bond with his kidnapper and the U.S. Marshal in pursuit of them. Eastwood's direction and Costner's performance are giant, earth-gripping foundations for this film which feels efficient, poignant, original and wildly unpredictable.
The movie's ability to question the notion of "good" and "bad" men keeps the drama moving and the ending a tearjerker, no matter who wins or loses. Rent it, its a goodie.
