Review of A Perfect Plan (2012) by Patrick D — 14 Sep 2008
A painfully lame movie created solely to showcase headache-inducing 3D computer animation. The voice acting is terrible, sounding throughout as though the actors are just standing around taking turns reading their lines.
The 3D spends way too much time far in front of the plane of the screen (unlike Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, which had most of the action behind the screen). The plot manages to be simultaneously predictable and contradictory, completely devoid of suspense or character development.
It has the air of a movie that has sacrificed plot freedom for historical accuracy, yet it is not historically accurate either. Buzz Aldrin appears at the end to make a bizarre and perplexing speech that I can only assume was meant to be humourous.
