Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Val M — 26 Jun 2010
'A Perfect Getaway' is one of those rare films where you don't expect much and it actually turns out to be pretty good. The actors are in top form here, especially Timothy Olyphant who I, to be honest, didn't care for much in many of his previous films. Zahn and Jovanich, as well as the actress who plays Olyphant's love interest all do their part to make this flick rise over the average suspense yarn.
I can't really say too much about the films plot, other than it does keep you guessing, and it's better than you would expect from a movie that really didn't get much word of mouth. While it does have some flaws they aren't glaring and you won't complain. If you have 2 hours or so to spend, you could wind up watching a lot worse.
