Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Ken C — 02 Apr 2011
Literally nothing happens until the last 20 minutes, and everything before then is just obvious foreshadowing and clunky dialogue topped off with unconvincing performances. And even when the last 20 minutes finally come the twist is just predictable and doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The only person in the movie that I liked and actually cared about was Timothy Olyphant even though he still doesn't move his teeth when he talks. Him, parts of the ending, and the characters quoting much better movies and talking about much better actors are the only three things that you will get any enjoyment out of from this uninteresting and so freaking boring "thriller" that the movie likes to call itself. Even the genre is a lie, the first 70 minutes is just them on vacation, thats it.
Skip it.
