Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Blæke W — 07 Sep 2010
Perfect Getaway.
Directed by: David Twohy.
Release Date: August 7, 2009.
Enjoyed it immensly. This is a cross genre type of film as it is actually a 'funny' subdued horror/murder flick. Only because of the funny gimmicky heroic puns and tounge in cheek glances at coincedences can it be an ordinary action, rather than thriller as is catogorised.
A couple go on a hawaian trail trek, post vows, only to discover the town they left a day befor has turned up a murder of a man and wife with the murderers still at large on the islands somwhere.
Pretty cool twist I don't set out looking for in these type of film (either you do predict events or not) and is a tight guessing game to the finish, but with ubundant laughter not just basic suspense. Relly cool movie is all.
