Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Adam C — 02 Jun 2011
Initially I was extremely happy with A Perfect Getaway. The acting was fantastic and ambiguous, the filmmaking knew when to entertain and when to keep you on the edge of your seat, and the location was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
In the end, however, as the plot decided to backtrack and take half of the movie to explain what I'd already seen, I lost interest and ultimately could've cared less what happened in the end. The first half was the best thriller set-up I've seen in a long time, the rest dwindled into yet another disappointment.
