Review of A Perfect Getaway (2009) by Andy W — 02 May 2012
Whilst it looks great and the cast is deserving of worthier material, this is a film which hinges on a central turning point - but the story is spun out so you have to wait... and wait... and then you realise you had it all worked out anyway.
More showboating for the writer/director than anything - and no, you're not as clever as you think you are. Films which rely too much on 'twists' usually render themselves redundant after the first viewing, and I don't expect to watch this again.
An average thriller that may impress an undemanding audience.
